Michael has research interests in mathematics education, operation research and health research. My work appeared in a number of journals and books (as referred book chapters) including Teaching Mathematics and its Applications, Opsearch, the Journal of Developing Areas, Environmental Sustainability and Economy, the Economic Effects of Natural Disasters, Lecture Notes of Management and Industrial Engineering, The International Congress on Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM) and the Australian Society of Operations Research (ASOR) conference proceedings. He obtained PhD in Mathematics from Curtin University of Technology, Australia in 2007. He was a member of Western Australian Centre of Excellence in Industrial Optimisation (WACEIO) at Curtin University from 2001 to 2006 and has contributed research papers at the centre. I am a current member of Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (MSSANZ) and Australian Society for Operations Research (ASOR). I am a reviewer for Teaching Mathematics and its Applications, International journal of Mathematics Education in Science and Technology, IEEE Systems Journal and Fire Safety Journal, MSSANZ and ASOR. He has independently and collaboratively conducted research leading to constant presentations at conferences. Michael is an emerging scholar who authored or co-authored research-based publications, including a book, 7 book chapters, 5 refereed journal articles, 12 refereed conference publications.
