Proposed venture in marine eco-tourism for the Whitsunday Region
Evaluation of market potential to launch an experiential marine research/eco-tourism business within Riverside Marine’s subsidiary Fantasea Cruises; National Geographic have subsequently launched a similar cruise operation. The proposal examined how to leverage Fantasea’s substantial marine infrastructure with the excitement of field research to be undertaken in joint venture with local and international universities. The business plan also sought to leverage relevant government initiatives including the R&D tax incentives, ARC Linkage Grants and the Export Market Development Scheme.
