I am an academic and researcher within the School of Business and Law. My teaching focus is in the area(s) of management, entrepreneurship and innovation at Masters level. I am a highly experienced qualitative researcher and a specialist in the application of grounded theory analysis to inter-disciplinary and practical research problems. I am particularly interested in theory building within the organisational domain, specifically- how employees, including managers, cope with volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in their organisational environments and the associated impacts for and on their wellbeing and resilience. I am passionate about identify and implementing mechanisms to enhance human wellbeing in our society and in identifying how social innovation and entrepreneurial activities can add to these endeavors.
Prior to entering academia I spent over 20+ years operating as a C-level executive in the financial services, technology and professional services industries and as a serial entrepreneur, in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. I have a wealth of experience as a Managing Director, strategist and hands-on and collaborative leader.
