About Me

Dr Tasadduq Imam is a multidisciplinary academic with a background in computer science & engineering and business management. He further holds degrees in politics and policy and tertiary education. He joined CQUniversity in 2009 as a Postdoc Research Fellow in the Centre for Intelligent & Networked Systems and subsequently joined the School of Business & Law as an academic staff in 2012. He is currently located at the Melbourne campus of the university. In his current role, he teaches in the finance discipline and has won multiple teaching awards for his creative approaches to making cognitively challenging finance subjects engaging. His research interests, aligned with his multidisciplinary background, relate to machine learning, financial management, and business management issues and correspond to the broad umbrella of business automation and analytics.  He is affiliated with multiple professional bodies, has been involved in a national curriculum review program, and is an active reviewer for multiple top journals added to his editorship roles. He has won or been part of multiple internal and external research grants, including over $1.5m in external funding. He also has a successful track record in supervising RHD students across multiple business management and computer science areas, with multiple completions. He is also a regular author in top-quality journals.
