Dr. Xiaohan Yang is Lecturer in Resources Engineering based at CQU Mackay Ooralea. He received his PhD in Mining Engineering in 2021 from the University of Wollongong and his bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering in 2016 from the China University of Mining and Technology. Prior to joining CQU, Xiaohan served as an Associate Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong from 2021 to 2022, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland from 2022 to 2024. Xiaohan has been involved in projects funded by ACARP, South32, and the Queensland Government. He is also the academic editor for Deep Underground Science and Engineering (Wiley) and the International Journal of Coal Science and Technology (Springer). Xiaohan’s teaching and research expertise lies in rock mechanics and mining geotechnical engineering.
