About Me

Kumaran is a Lecturer in Civil (Structural) Engineering at the Central Queensland University. He completed his Bachelor of the Science of Engineering (B.Sc.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and completed Master of Engineering and PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan and the University of Southern Queensland, Australia respectively. Prior to joining CQUniversity in 2009, he worked as a Structural Engineering in an engineering consultant company in Brisbane. 

Kumaran has research interest in Sustainable Concrete Materials, Structural Rehabilitation and Application of FRP in Structural Engineering. He has published over 30 publication in international journals and conferences.
