Dr. Jintao Zhang is a Lecturer in Management at CQUniversity’s School of Business and Law. Since entering higher education in 2009, he has held a range of academic roles across Australian and international universities, with extensive teaching experience in management and international business. Before joining CQUniversity in early 2024, he was a Senior Lecturer in Management at Torrens University Australia and previously held academic appointments at Australian Catholic University, the University of Newcastle, and Beijing Normal University Zhuhai in China. He has taught across undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has received multiple teaching merit certificates and awards, including Dean’s Awards for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.

Dr. Zhang’s research interests span international business, innovation, AI-enabled decision-making, corporate social responsibility, ESG, and the circular economy. His research examines how organisations respond to technological change, institutional complexity, and sustainability challenges, with particular attention to strategic decision-making, responsible business practices, and corporate sustainability. He has particular expertise in quantitative and computational research methods, including structural equation modelling, multilevel and crossed random-effects modelling, necessary condition analysis, propensity score matching, and difference-in-differences analysis. His methodological interests increasingly extend to text analysis, mixed and hybrid research designs, and the use of large language models to analyse complex unstructured data. He is also actively involved in higher degree research supervision, including PhD and Master of Research projects in ESG, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and organisational management.
