Saba is a Lecturer in Agriculture, based at CQUniversity's Emerald campus. He coordinates and teaches into a number of Bachelor of Agriculture units that deal with a diverse range of subject matter, including animal health and welfare, parasitology, social licence to operate, agricultural development, agricultural extension and sustainability. Saba's research interests include disaster resilience in agriculture, international agricultural development, animal parasitology, agricultural education and the role of agriculture in foreign policy, peace and security. Saba is also a fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute's Northern Australia Strategic Policy Centre where he examines the role of agriculture in advancing prosperity and security across northern Australia and the region’s role in fostering a more secure world.
