Research Activities

I completed my PhD titled The lived experience of Nurse Academics on Satellite Campuses of Australian Universities: A phenomenological study in 2017.

I have a strong track record of high-quality research with influential collaborations. The overall theme of my research is social justice and stakeholder welfare. On the organisational level I have investigated the experience of nurse academics on satellite campuses, on the nursing and midwifery level, I have been concerned with resilience and supporting nurses/ midwives in the workforce. Through the Research Ready Program, I have encouraged clinicians to engage in research activity. On the patient level, I have considered the experiences of women who were unable to conform to breastfeeding recommendations. Finally, on the student level, I have explored new and innovative teaching strategies which engage undergraduate nursing students to improve student outcomes. Outcomes from my research have been presented via publications, conference presentations and recommendations for practice.
