About Me

I, Dr. Umme Mumtahina received my B. Sc. Eng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 2012. I received my Ph.D. in Power Electronics field from Central Queensland University in 2019. I worked as a lecturer from 2012 to 2013 in one of the universities in Bangladesh. I am working as a post-doctoral research fellow at CQuniversity under a federal innovation grant to assist Elexsys Pty Ltd. I have been also involved in casual teaching in ICT and Engineering field in CQUniversity since 2017. I have worked in many areas of electrical engineering field such as renewable energy, DC-DC converter control, microgrid etc. My broader research interest includes power electronics application on renewable, power converters, microgrid, low voltage distribution system, battery systems.

General
Background

As mentioned above, my broader research interest includes power electronics application on renewable, power converters, microgrid, low voltage distribution system and battery system.

I have also secured a federal grant with ElexSys and some internal grants,. My focus is mainly on different control strategies for microgrids such as primary, secondary and tertiary control.
