I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a PhD in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering and involved in several research collaborations investigating innovative techniques to diagnose medical conditions using non-invasive techniques. Recent and current projects focused on developing novel and non-invasive techniques to screen respiratory conditions. Some of the methods we developed are at commercialization phase as well. These developed techniques are going to help to screen Sleep Apnea patients in a home setting thus reducing the cost and effort involved and will going to definitely benefit rural Australia where there is no or limited Sleep Apnea diagnose facilities.
I am privileged to lead the development and delivery of a suite of units for students studying throughout Central Queensland (Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone and Bundaberg campuses) as well as many students studying online. I also supervise undergraduate as well as Master's thesis planning and implementation units, enabling graduates to showcase their engineering prowess.
I enjoy working at CQU as my values are reflected in the institution’s mission to support its staff, students, and communities.
