Associate Professor Veljanovski joined CQU at the start of 2016 is the Head of College for the College of Project Management, Built Environment and Asset and Maintenance Management (CoPBA). He is a dedicated, results oriented, strategically aligned academic leader with numerous years of progressive experience across a combination of commercial and higher education sectors. His leadership and management of CoPBA is aimed towards sustainability, improvement, growth and to create innovative courses and units that enhance students' work readiness.

Associate Professor Veljanovski is an internationally certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, a PRINCE2 Practitioner by AXELOS, a certified Business Analyst by the British Computer Society, and a certified Management of Portfolios professional by AXELOS.

He has spearheaded R&D technology projects and new business development projects in medical imaging and optometry during his time in industry as a project manager where he has been accountable for over $100M AUD in project budgets.

He has worked with and collaborated with Monash University, University of Melbourne, Deakin University, Victoria University, RMIT, Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, GE Healthcare (Sweden), Specsavers, Luxottica Retail, CSIRO, LUND University (Sweden), Ericsson Mobile Platform (Sweden) as well as dozens of small to medium enterprises nationally.
