About Me

Over the years I have worked in a variety of roles at CQUniversity, including research assistant work, coordination of a study travel program, and lecturing in teacher education. My doctoral thesis explored the impact of changing literacies on primary school educators.

Since 2007, I have been involved in CQUniversity's Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) enabling program, teaching in subjects focused on study skills and academic writing. I also coordinate a pathways program for military veterans who wish to embark on studies in higher education.

My interest in adult learning and inclusive education has led to research into a range of topics that include enabling education, critical thinking, online learning, oral presentation skills, and the needs of students from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

These days, I work part-time and online from my Sunshine Coast home.
