Dr. Lily Li received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University (China), a Masters of IT majoring in Software Engineering degree from the University of Newcastle (Australia), and a PhD degree from CQUniversity (Australia). Lily has been a full-time academic at CQUniversity since 2002. She has been a Head of Course for Undergraduate ICT courses from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, Lily was a discipline leader for the Software Engineering discipline. Lily’s experience consists of course coordination, teaching and learning management, curriculum design, and research. Lily has a strong engagement with local industries and communities. As a mentor, she has successfully supervised two KTP projects collaborated with the local Queensland companies. Lily is also the program director for IBMMainframe-BIT program collaborated with Column72. Lily’s research interests include computational intelligence, evolutionary optimisation, and software engineering.

Before 2002, Lily was working at Xi'an Jiaotong University for many years. Lily worked in a number of roles including lecturer, L&T administrator, and software engineer.
Since 2002, Lily had been a full time academic at CQUniversity. Her experience covers course coordination, program operation and management, curriculum design, and research.
