I am an experienced academic, course manager and registered nurse. My clinical experience in both public and private sector health facilities underpins my academic career.
Currently I manage the role of Head of Course - Bachelor of Nursing.
I hold a Master of Philosophy, with a thesis title - What influences industry to offer clinical placements for pre-registration nursing students?, and I am in the final stages of completing a Doctor of Philosophy.
Before commencing employment in the Bachelor of Nursing Program, Justine worked for the Competence Assessment Service for 2 years, a program run by CQU in conjunction with the Queensland Nursing Council QNC, assisting overseas nurses gain Australian registration, helping qualified nurses re-enter the nursing workforce and assessing nurses competency as directed by the Council.
Clinical positions and experience underpinning my academic career involve after-hours hospital manager, nurse educator, and clinical nurse (surgical/HDU).
I currently study a Doctor of Philosophy at CQUniversity.
I have previously completed a Master of Philosophy at University of Wollongong and a Bachelor of Nursing at CQUniversity.
