About Me
I am a business and accounting academic with an interest in corporate governance, IT governance and business ethics. As well as my role as an educator, I am actively involved in my profession and in service to my university.
Currently I am:
- President of the CPA Australia Capricornia Branch Council
- Academic Staff representative on the CQUniversity Council
- Council representative on the CQUniversity Audit, Risk and Finance Committee.
General
Background
From 1994 to 2004 I worked in several information systems management roles at CQUniversity, as well as in financial accounting and financial reporting.
From 2005 I have been an accounting academic at CQUniversity.

I have been awarded the Queensland Division President’s Award of Excellence for Service and Leadership - 2015.
In recognition of my longstanding service and contributions, I was advanced to the status of Fellow of CPA Australiain March 2017.
In January 2019, I was elected President of the Capricornia Branch Council.

Member of the Australian Computer Society since May 2002,
Member of CPA Australia since March 2002.
Awarded CPA status in December 2004 and CPA designated Specialist in Information Technology in May 2005.
Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) in Jan. 2017.
