About Me

I'm currently working as the Project Coordinator in the 'Personalising the Student Experience to Improve Retention and Success' program with Professor Denise Wood in the School of Education and the Arts.

In the past 6 years I've worked in several projects at CQUniversity: Health CRN with Professor Sonj Hall, Rail CRC- National project, Research Doctoral Review, Easiconnect and several HEPPP projects. I find project work exciting, stimulating and rewarding, learning new tools and gaining knowledge of different university programs. My expertise in research administration has assisted me gaining work in this changing University environment where I love a challenge in my work and I can draw on my knowledge of work processes from my previous positions. However every project comes to an end, so I often need to seek out other new project work via my network friends.

Working at the University in a research environment has enabled me to continue to meet and work with people/ stakeholders from all cultures and diverse research interests. However having grown up in Victoria has held me in good stead working in my current environment.

My hobbies are netball, travelling, country life with animals, gardening, leisure cycling & general exercise to keep fit. I do love a good cup of tea & occasional chat! LOL

General
Background

My interests in work environment and life are to challenge myself in work, assist as many people as possible along my journey, keen to learn new tasks and network with stakeholders especially in the research area. Outside work my hobby is Netball - giving back to a sport that I love. Now its more professional than when I started playing but the bonding in a team environment sport has been embedded in my working life.

I'm a country gal at heart. I've lived in Victoria (couldn't wait to leave the climate behind!) moved to central & western Queensland where living in remote areas stimulates the ability to be creative with limited resources available. I love a challenge, so will NEVER, NEVER give up on an opportunity to do something different and succeed. I see possible when others see impossible.
