About Me

Professor Trevor Davison is the former CQUniversity Associate Vice-Chancellor for Western Australia, then South East Queensland. Trevor worked for CQUniversity for nearly 15 years over three separate occasions: As an academic in Teacher Education, as the Head of Campus: Mackay and in his more recent Associate Vice-Chancellor positions. Trevor is currently a Board Director and Chair of Academic Board for an RTO, and working as a self-employed Consultant.

Trevor is a dynamic educational leader with extensive national and international experience in leading and managing colleges, campuses and Schools/Faculties, built on strategic planning, quality assurance and strategic partnerships. He is adept at combining his high-level analytical and communication skills with a strong ability to achieve tangible outcomes, including initiating and completing institutional start-up, development and change projects in both emerging and established markets. Trevor is a passionate educator with broad experience in program design, delivery, management and teaching in the tertiary education sector – in both the University and in VET – including providing a range of professional development activities for staff. His philosophy and professional practice is built on his rich and diverse experience in the university and vocational education sectors, and industry.

Trevor played semi-professional football (soccer) for many years, then became an FA Coach and Referee.

He has also been a bass player in a number of bands for more than 20 years.

Trevor loves music, especially Funk, RnB and Soul, and is a Prince fanatic.
