Dr. Ahmed Farouk Kineber occupies the position of Lecturer in Project Management at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University. Ahmed holds the distinguished certification of Certified Value Specialist (CVS), the highest credential for conducting Value Studies worldwide, provided by SAVE International. His academic pursuits span a broad spectrum of research interests, including value management, scheduling, life cycle cost (LCC) analysis, budget allocation, sustainable development, digital construction, economic analysis, structural equation modelling, life cycle assessment, asset management, and innovative value engineering technologies.

With over ten years of experience in both academic and industrial settings, Dr. Ahmed has developed extensive expertise in applying Value Management (VM) and Value Engineering (VE) methodologies. As a Value Management Specialist, he has conducted numerous value studies worldwide, and his implementation of VM and VE methodologies has generated over hundred million dollars in anticipated investment and expense avoidance. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmed has developed a pioneering artificial intelligence computer model tool that assists owners and contractors in applying VM, substantially reducing project costs. This tool is a testament to his commitment to leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in construction projects.

Dr. Ahmed Farouk Kineber serves as a Lecturer in Project Management at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Construction Project Management from Petronas University in Malaysia in 2021, with a dissertation focused on Value Management Implementation Models for Construction Projects. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed holds the distinguished certification of Certified Value Specialist (CVS), the highest credential for conducting Value Studies worldwide, provided by SAVE International, and Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O)® from AXELOS Global Best Practice, UK.

Dr. Ahmed boasts over a decade of combined experience in academia and industry, characterized by a dynamic synthesis of practical experience and scholarly inquiry. His professional journey commenced in the construction industry, where he managed large-scale engineering projects for infrastructure and airport developments, accumulating a portfolio of projects valued at over $1.5 billion USD. His academic career is marked by a steadfast commitment to imparting both fundamental and specialized knowledge in construction project management. In the last five years, Dr. Ahmed has developed around 65 mathematical models to explore and predict the impact of digital construction tools on the sustainability and performance of projects. These models have been instrumental in identifying the most effective technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes, reduce costs, and improve environmental sustainability. His innovative approach has provided the construction industry with valuable insights and practical solutions, significantly contributing to the advancement of construction project management.

Prior to his current position at Central Queensland University, Dr. Ahmed was an Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering & Management at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. During his tenure, he taught various aspects of project management and supervised a significant number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. His pedagogical approach is centered on delivering complex concepts in an engaging and informative manner, aiming to foster a lifelong passion for learning among his students.
