Dr. Bashir holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University. Dr. Bashir was recognized on the esteemed Stanford list of the world's top 2% scientists in 2023, solidifying his position among the global academic influential. His expertise spans a diverse array of research interests, including Sustainable development, Environmental Management Practices, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), Integrated Strategies for Achieving Circular Economy Goals, Life Cycle Assessment, Public Perception, Pollution Control, as well as Innovative Water and Wastewater Treatment Technologies.

With a career marked by steady commitment, Dr. Bashir has contributed significantly to academia and international collaboration. Prior to his current role, he served as a Professor at University Tunku Abdulrahman in Malaysia until March 2023, leaving an indelible mark as a visiting Professor at the University of Indonesia in 2021 and Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022.
