Dr. Diluka Moratuwage is a lecturer in Industrial Automation at Central Queensland University (CQU). He obtained his PhD in Robotic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), in Singapore. His research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), field robotics, and multi-target tracking. Prior to joining CQU, Dr. Moratuwage contributed his expertise to the robotics institute at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) from 2023 to 2024, and the Signal Processing Laboratory at Curtin University from 2019 to 2022 in Australia. His international experience includes roles as a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de Chile between 2018 and 2019, and at Nanyang Technological University from 2015 to 2018. During these tenures (in academia) Dr. Moratuwage has contributed to several fundamental research projects and industry funded research and development projects on field robotics and multi-target tracking. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Moratuwage has garnered two years of industry experience in the development of Autonomous Vehicle Technologies at Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre in Singapore.
