About Me

I am a practice focused researcher and educator with over 25 years of management expertise in industry across built environment sectors. This includes building design, project and construction management, urban infrastructure and engineering coordination, contribution to industry and education policy. My research on sustainable development in construction management supports closer engagement between industry and government. My scholarship in learning and teaching focuses on advancing education for future skill sets and expanding academic and industry capabilities.

General
Background

I have worked as client-based advisor for government and private sector construction companies, developing tailored sustainability strategies in conjunction with in-house training and mentoring for on-site construction teams.  As higher education academic, I have developed an innovative pedagogy that develops students’ professional attributes through ‘constructive, explicit and reflective’ learning experiences.
