Danielle Le Lagadec is a lecturer in the school of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Science at CQUniversity. She obtained a BSc, BHons, MSc and PhD in Entomology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and was involved in applied agricultural research for over 25 years. She obtained a B Nursing from CQUniversity in 2014 and a PhD in Nursing in 2021. Her nursing PhD involved a quantitative study in the use of Early Warning Systems in recognising patient deterioration in resource-poor regional/rural hospitals. She continues to work in the clinical sector as a registered nurse in a small regional hospital.
Born in Mauritius, raised and educated in South Africa, immigrated to Australia, as an agricultural researcher in 2005. Specialised in subtropical tree crop production systems and post-harvest fruit quality control. Danielle changed careers in 2014 and is now involved in acute patient care in nursing and patient deterioration research.
