About Me
General
Background

After completing my Bachelor of Applied Science (honors) from the University of Western Sydney, I embarked on my PhD studies at Charles Sturt University in collaboration with the Australian Wine Research Institute. Upon completion of my studies, I returned to my native Fiji Islands and joined the chemistry department at the University of the South Pacific. During this period, I traveled extensively through the Pacific Islands (Solomon Islands, Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati) on behalf of the distance and flexible learning center delivering chemistry courses and facilitating the overall management of the science laboratories the University had established in these countries.

In between my academic positions in Fiji and later at Federation University Australia, I gained a multitude of experience and knowledge through being employed within commercial analytical laboratories in various roles. In 2017 I joined the Australian Catholic University (Brisbane Campus) as a lecturer in science before taking up my current role as a lecturer in chemistry at Central Queensland University in Rockhampton.
