Fariza Sabrina

About Me

I am a passionate ICT professional with a career spanning across universities, industries, and government research agency.

I have received my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Master of Engineering (Research) from The University of Sydney (USYD) and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh.

After completing my PhD, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and then as a Research Scientist in the Networking Technologies Lab, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) ICT Centre, Sydney and worked on a wide variety of R&D and consulting projects.

Currently I am a Senior Lecturer-ICT and the Discipline Lead for Networking and Information Security in the School of Engineering and Technology at CQUniversity Sydney. Prior to joining CQUniversity, I have worked as a Senior Lecturer and School of IT and Engineering Academic Coordinator for Sydney Campus at Melbourne Institute of Technology. My past industry experience also includes working as an IT Consultant on large projects.

My current research interests include Networking and information security, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Internet of Things, and Cyber Security.
