Kristie-Lee Alfrey is Lab Coordinator for the Motivation of Health Behaviours (MoHB) Lab and Founder of the Online Conference for Undergraduate Research in Australasia (founded 2020). Kristie-Lee is also a Casual Research Assistant/Project Coordinator, and Casual Academic across the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences at CQUniversity.
Kristie-Lee completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2019 and her Bachelor of Psychological Science Honours in 2020. Her Honours Thesis was focused on behavioural motivation and habit development of cardiac and pulmonary exercise rehabilitation patients (publicly available via OSF). Kristie-Lee has commenced her PhD, focused on behavioural psychology.
Since 2016, Kristie-Lee has been involved in a broad range of research projects focused on topics such as mental and physical health and well-being, behaviour change, motivation and habit, and systematic review of mobile applications for antenatal exercise. Kristie-Lee has co-authored a number of published papers and been awarded for research excellence, social innovation and engagement, academic achievements and leadership/mentoring.

Kristie-Lee has also been awarded a number of research scholarships, including CQUniversity Summer Research Scholarship (2017/18), CQUniversity Rising Star Fellowship (2017/18), Research Training Program Stipend (2020-2023) and has played a large part in a number of industry related research grants.
Kristie-Lee has a large media engagement, primarily for her research focusing on the mental health and well-being of fly-in fly-out workers and partners. Kristie-Lee's media experience includes published newspaper and research brochure articles (online and printed), radio interviews (live and recorded), and free-to-air TV news interviews.
Kristie-Lee's research interests involve the psychological processes that underpin human behaviour and behaviour change. Specifically, implicit and explicit mediators such as identity, intention and motivation, and behavioural maintenance and habit. Kristie-Lee is an advocate for conducting research that considers behaviour change within-person, across time, between contexts and as a result of dyadic/social influences. As such, her preferred choice of research methodology is Ecological Momentary Assessment Plus.
Kristie-Lee is competent in both Windows and Mac devices and has in-depth knowledge of popular software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite. She also has an in-depth knowledge of survey platforms such as GoogleForms and Qualtrics and statistical analysis programs such as SPSS and R Studio. Kristie-Lee is continuing to build upon her knowledge of Python and other script softwares and platforms.
Kristie-Lee has contributed to a number of industry reports, including non-for-profit organisations, Queensland industry boards, and Regional Councils.
