About Me
Dr Mason has a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Anthropology and Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from James Cook University. She has completed a PhD in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience with a psycholinguistics and decision-making focus. She is a registered General Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the Australasian Cognitive Neuroscience Society (ACNS). Dr Mason has significant experience in research, teaching, and psychological practice. She has worked in private practice and the not-for-profit sector since 2008 with a diverse range of clients and presentations, including with children, older adults, and vulnerable groups, and has particular interest in neurodiversity and trauma. She has conducted research with the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) and her other research interests include decision science, cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics, and applied psychology.
