I am currently Head of Course, Asset and Maintenance Management at CQUniversity and working at CQU since 2010. At the core of my heart I am a mechanical engineer. My PhD is in the area of tribologist and I have extensive experience in wear of materials and lubrication of bearings and gears I apply these principles in solving maintenance problems with a proactive approach. Asset management is my where cradle to coffin care of equipment is the approach that I apply while dealing with engineering assets. I teach condition monitoring and tribology, subject and supervise research projects in these areas. In addition I also supervised PhD students in the area of Rail tribology, Asset management of Electricity distribution system, Alternative fuels and asset management of electric vehicles. I have teaching and research experience from world renowned institutions such as IIT Delhi, UNCC, USA, NTH Trondheim, Norway, RMIT and Monash University. I have edited published a book on Clean Energy. I am always keen to undertake consulting jobs and reserach collaborative projects in the area of my expertise.
Qualifications: B.E. (Mech.) Jodhpur University, M. Tech. (Mech.), IIT Delhi, PhD (QUT)
Specialization: Mechanical Engineering specialized in Tribology of Gears and bearings, Asset management and Clean energy.
Research interests: Tribology, Alternative fuels, Asset and maintenance management.
Asset and maintenance management with a focus on tribology of machines is the main area of my research. I am also engaged in the research on alternative fuels. I have executed several sponsored and consulting projects on failure analysis and tribological studies of engineering assets. Oil analysis and lubricant performance are special areas of my industrial research interests.
