About Me

Dr Adeniyi (Ade) Adeleye is a critical care nurse and nursing academic with extensive clinical and teaching experience across diverse healthcare and educational contexts. He completed his PhD in Nursing in March 2026 and has been teaching in higher education since 2015, having commenced his academic career as an adjunct academic at Griffith University.

Ade is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a recognition he has held since 2021, reflecting his commitment to excellence in teaching, supportive learning environments, and student‑centred education at CQUniversity and beyond. His teaching is strongly informed by contemporary clinical practice and a passion for preparing graduates for safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care.

General

Background

Originally from Nigeria, Ade immigrated to Australia following his initial nursing registration and brings a strong global and intercultural perspective to nursing education. Before academia, he held a breadth of clinical roles both internationally and in Australia, including emergency, intensive care, high dependency, and coronary care units, as well as rural and remote healthcare settings. His most recent clinical role was as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Medical Assessment Unit at Gold Coast University Hospital.
