Certified Abecedarian Approach Australia 3a Practitioner and Coach (2014 – 2018)
While employed by Moonee Valley City Council, I collaborated with the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the University of Melbourne to implement 3a. This involved me coaching and mentoring early childhood professionals in implementing 3a, a set of evidence-based teaching and learning strategies for early childhood educators and parents to use with children from birth to five. Research shows that 3a delivers enhanced educational outcomes by enriching and enhancing educator practice before and after a child starts school.
Certified Educational Leader (2016 – 2018) in Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS)
While employed by Moonee Valley City Council, I collaborated with the University of Melbourne Graduate School of Education to apply CLASS, an innovative observational tool to objectively assess classroom quality based on teacher-child interactions. CLASS focused on high-quality interactions, created a shared understanding of program quality, and measured the quality of interactions to create a system that enabled data-driven improvement in teaching quality through tailored and individualised professional development.
