About Me

Advanced Care Paramedic of 22 years, married and with two beautiful daughters.  I'm a Cairns local enjoying mainly outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, diving, spear fishing and working on setting up my hobby farm.

Background

I originate from a hard working Sicilian background and the first female in my family to gain tertiary education, and later work within tertiary education.  22 years of industry service with the Queensland Ambulance Service as an Advanced Care Paramedic, Officer In Charge, Clinical Support Officer and Flight Paramedic on Thursday Island, has lead me to now explore post graduate education and university lecturing in my chosen field of interest.

Rural and remote health, Paramedicine in the primary health setting and humanitarian health work in developing countries.  Community Paramedicine Programs & the Paramedic Practitioner model development in North Queensland and remote communities.
