I completed my PhD in 2020 (University of South Australia) and have worked as a researcher in the Appleton institute for the past 5 years. My research focuses on optimising nutrition and sleep for shiftworkers through conducting laboratory studies, field studies with shiftworkers, and conducting reviews of the literature. I have >50 publications, h-index 13 (Scopus), and >$300,000 in external research income (3 x CIA). I am passionate about research and my work on meal timing for shiftworkers has informed practice and policy in industries such as emergency services, mining, transport, and healthcare.
I am also a lecturer in the School of Graduate Research, with a focus on the RHD Curriculum. This role combines two things I care deeply about: supporting RHD candidates to navigate research with confidence, and contributing to well-designed research training.
During my time at CQU, I have been a course coordinator in the College of Health Sciences, supervised 16 psychology honours students, and supervised 2 RHD students (both conferred).
I am currently accredited for supervision in the following:
Other health sciences - Other health sciences not elsewhere classified

Clinical and health psychology - Health psychology
