Angelo is a law lecturer at Central Queensland University, where he teaches property law and legal advocacy.
His research interests include discrimination law and issues at the intersection of law and technology. Angelo's work on "social origin", class and disability discrimination has been published in articles in the UNSW Law Journal and his forthcoming book, 'Class and Social Background Discrimination in the Modern Workplace: Mapping Inequality in the Digital Age', will be published by Bristol University Press in 2023. Angelo's published work on discrimination law has been used in a number of court and tribunal decisions, including in South Africa by the Constitutional Court, High Court and the Labour Appeal Court and in Australia by the Federal Court and Fair Work Commission. His work has also been used by numerous government bodies (eg, the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia, Australian Fair Work Ombudsman, Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency of Germany), think tanks and leading scholars from Australia and Europe.
Outside of academia, Angelo has spent a number of years working as a government lawyer, court researcher and judge's associate.
