My original training in Public Health was in the field of Environmental and Occupational Health and I am a registered sanitarian. I worked in compliance at the state and federal level in the United States before entering the academic environment in Australia.While I remain interested in these aspects of Public Health, I now work mostly in the areas of cultural consonance and the impact of language and culture issues in the experience of health and illness.
