Ann began with CQUniversity Australia in 2018 as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and for the past eleven years has been working as an academic. During this time, she has taught marketing and non-marketing courses to many international students predominantly from the Asia Pacific Region. Units that Ann has taught include: research methodology and marketing decision tools at postgraduate level; and strategic marketing, consumer behaviour, marketing decision analysis, marketing research methods and marketing principles at undergraduate level.
Her PhD examined the formation and development of consumer-based brand equity within service organizations in particular the antecedents to student-based brand equity, recommendation and brand advocacy behaviour creation and its implication for the strategic branding decision by Universities in domestic and international markets.
Ann has held the Consumer Behaviour Track Chair for three consecutive Academy of World Business, Marketing and Management Development Conferences in 2008, 2010 and 2012 respectively. She has also co-run industry workshops for the not for profit sector and was an invited guest speaker to various events including Food For Thought's International Women's Day Seminar on "Girls and Education" held at the Wheelers Centre, Melbourne in 2015.
Ann's teaching and research are in the fields of marketing, not for profit management practice and business education excellence. In 2017, Ann was admitted as an Honorary Member of Swinburne University's Golden Key Chapter for her personal accomplishments, support of academic excellence, leadership and commitment to society. In 2016, Ann was awarded the Tony Adams Fund Research Grant ($3000) for the project: "Are University Experiences influenced by Student Demographics?" She has extensive teaching experience, has co-supervised two PhDs to completion and is currently supervising one PhD student. Ann has published 12 peer reviewed journal articles and two book chapters.
