Lincoln Bertoli is an award-winning communications professional with extensive experience in print, broadcast and brand journalism, strategic communications and marketing and, most recently, the tertiary sector.
He joined CQUniversity as an Associate Lecturer of Professional Communication in late 2017, after first enrolling as a Bachelor of Arts student on the North Rockhampton campus more than 15 years ago. He is the Unit Coordinator of News Writing and Reporting (JOUR12039), Media Writing (COMM11007), Introduction to Journalism (JOUR11005), Feature Writing (JOUR12010), Narrative Journalism (JOUR12040), Communicating for Social Change (COMM11108), Beginning Creative Writing (WRIT11023) and Creative Nonfiction (WRIT11025) bringing a wealth of professional experience after more than 15 years working in the communications industry. He is a previous winner of the Local Government Managers Australia (Queensland) Award for Excellence – Above and Beyond Category, as well as the inaugural CQUniversity Early Career Educator Excellence Award. Lincoln holds a Masters of Communication and continues to work as a freelance writer. He is also an Accredited Professional Member of the (former) Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).
