About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer and Head of Course in Domestic and Family Violence Practice in the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Practice, located in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at Central Queensland University. I manage our Postgraduate units in the hyperflexible Be Different platform and am responsible for coordinating the Graduate Certificate in Domestic and Family Violence Practice, the Graduate Diploma in Domestic and Family Violence Practice, the Graduate Certificate in Facilitating Men's Behaviour Change, and the Masters in Domestic Violence Practice. Our postgraduate units are designed for current or future practitioners who are working with victims and children affected by domestic and family violence or with perpetrators who have engaged in domestic and family violence. I have conducted a number of research projects in the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research where I have worked since 2016. These projects have included an evaluation of the domestic and family violence training provided to Queensland Police Service members, an evaluation of an integrated response to sexual assault and an investigation of cross-border applications for domestic violence orders.
