Anne first worked with CQUniversity as an academic in the School of Business from 2000 to 2009. After four years working in HongKong developing and delivering English language curriculum for students from non-English speaking backgrounds, Anne has returned to CQUniversity as a Lecturer in the School of Access Education, supporting Academic Communication skill development for undergraduate students through to Research Higher Degree (RHD) candidates.

Anne Braund has a diverse work history as an educator in schools, universities and industry. Anne has worked in Higher Education for 20 years, initially employed as an academic in Business Communication in 2000 on Bundaberg campus. Prior to working in Higher Education, Anne has taught and coordinated support for students in secondary schools requiring modified programs. This role required collaboration with specialist and mainstream teachers, therapists and community services to ensure learning programs met the individual learning and support needs of the student. From 2009 - 2013 Anne worked for English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong teaching the Diploma in English to young adults from non-English speaking backgrounds. This role required program design and delivery as part of the International Baccalaureate curriculum and Anne partnered with the University of HongKong as a teacher mentor.
Anne's is currently a lecturer and project coordinator at CQUniversity in the School of Access Education. Anne lectures in academic communication to undergraduate students. Anne also coordinates an English for Research unit designed to provide academic English enhancement for Research Higher Degree candidates who are non-native English speakers.
