Bridget has graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing, Post Graduate Diploma of Midwifery, Postgraduate Certificate in Midwifery, Master of Midwifery and a Master of Public Health. Bridget’s professional interests lie in midwifery care of women during their pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods via continuity models of care, supporting vulnerable women from diverse cultural backgrounds and undertaking midwifery focussed research. Bridget is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is a member of the Australian College of Midwives.

· . I was lecturing second and third year nursing students and specialized in low to medium fidelity clinical simulation and assessment.

· I was employed as a full time clinical nurse working in Accident & Emergency, General ward and Operating Theatre.

· I completed my Graduate Diploma of Midwifery during this time and was fortunate to complete clinical training hours in antenatal and postnatal throughout the Torres Straits.

· I provided relieving duties to outer island CNC’s and gained remote clinical experience and managerial experience.
