2012 - Sociology is a difficult concept to learn however this course and the lecturers were there to help my understanding of the course.

2012 - The lecturers provided good feedback on forums which helped in learning.

2012 - Flexibility in studying when it’s convenient for me. The way the Moodle is set up makes it clear what is required each week. The ability to be able to post forums or email lecturers.

2012 - I found this course extremely interesting considering I did not realise that large societal problems can impact individual’s problems and attitudes. Every week was always a new and intriguing topic.

2012 - The best aspect of this course were the lectures. Very informative and fast paced.

2012 - Textbook was very easy to read and study, and I enjoy having the study guide to keep me on track.

2012 - I found that the study guide, resource materials and textbook were very interesting and helped me to both learn and be engaged at the same time. The lecturers/tutors were also approachable, willing to help and very knowledge when it came to the course content.

2011 - Flexibility of topic choice for assignments.  Relevant to life.Exploration of social issues.The interesting links to movies and TV programs to compliment readings and lectures.  The Annotated Bibliography example was very helpful in terms of learning a new genre.  Lectures that don't involve reading the Powerpoint and do involve lots of examples and explanations of points.

2011 - Great online support from lectures.  Love the idea of discussion forums esp. for flex students.  Good content - I enjoyed this subject and thought the content was also delivered well through online resources and lecture material

2011 - The content was very interesting and I feel that it has provided me with the ability to analyse my university studies critically. The teaching staff were always willing to answer questions and receive feedback throughout the course.

2011 - The whole course is very good and interesting. This course is good as it allows you to think in a way that is not natural to your own train of thought, it helps us to see the world in a different light- a way which we never really acknowledge before.  The assignments are also good as they allowed us to voice our own opinion about a certain topic, some of our weeks work related to the assignment, this made it easier to write.

I agree with these posts, because Wendy Hillman has been an inspirational lecturer who is always approachable and has always explained every assessment piece to the subject clearly, concisely and accurately.

2012 - I have had Wendy as a lecturer for four years and have progressed dramatically through her wonderful attitude and clear explanations to requirements of the assessment piece.
Wendy organises her Moodle pages in a logical and explicable manner which is easy to follow because the structure is straightforward and uncomplicated.

2012 -This lecturer is always helpful, easy to communicate with, accessible, and interesting.  The assessment facilitated learning by incorporating tasks which may well be useful in our careers, and is relevant to the course material.  Thanks for a great term!

2012 - Wendy is a great lecturer and offers fantastic support! It is hard to learn being an external student, however, she responds to e-mails promptly and answers all questions. Other lecturers do not do this so sometimes I feel as though I am on my own. This is never the case with Wendy as she is always available!! Wendy also provides a great study guide so you know what you are supposed to be doing. Other external courses require this!   :)

2012 - The lecturer was very friendly and approachable. She was easy to contact and replied promptly to any queries. She knew her subject and offered encouraging feedback to all assessments and Moodle comments.

2012 - I appreciated receiving a booklet with all the set readings in it rather than having to juggle through a myriad of pdf's on my computer. The lectures were very good and helped me to understand the set material.

2012 - I always find the lecturer Wendy Hillman is very supportive and answers your questions straight away. I feel this is very important to me as you don't have that face to face contact which means that you’re not left pondering all the time or wondering if you’re doing things correctly.

2012 - Whenever I do a Sociology course (with Wendy) I never have any problems or feel as though there is a need for improvements. I think a lot of work is put into the courses and it shows
