About Me

I am the Dean of the School of Education and the Arts at CQUniversity based in Rockhampton. I have been working in the Secondary, Vocational Education and Training ( VET) and Higher Education sectors for over 35 years and have had extensive experience in the areas of hospitality, business and teacher education. My research is in the area of VET and transitioning teachers from the trades to the classroom.

Consultancy Work

TAFE Qld has been active in campaigning for more partnerships with cross sectors and  industry. Throughout my career with TAFE I

 was active in developing these links, by consulting with the following clients to customise Training Packages to suit their changing

 workplace needs. This was followed by co-facilitation of these programs to ensure consistency with industry standards and client
