Dr Kalpana is a Senior Research Officer at CQUniversity. She has more than a decade research and teaching experience in environmental science, soil health, nutrient dynamics and sustainable regenerative practices in Australia and overseas. Apart from this, Kalpana has researched on various carbon standards and methods, to improve carbon farming policy, regional economy and income in agriculture. She works with several industry partners, governmental organizations and NRM groups in Australia and overseas. Currently, Kalpana is working in drought research project to develop regional drought resilience plan in regional Queensland. She has a PhD in Environmental Science from CQUniversity Australia, and MSc and BSc in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan university, Nepal. Over her academic career, she has been awarded with several national and international awards for her academic and professional achievements, and published numbers of journal articles in scientific peer reviewed journals.
