I am an academic with a vast experience teaching English as a second language, academic writing and university preparatory courses both in Argentina and Australia.
I joined CQUniversity in June 2014 to set up a new Foundation Studies course for international students and to work in the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS). within the School of Access Education (SAE). I am currecntly the Deputy Associate Dean, Operations in SAE, where I have also held a variety of roles, including lecturer, Access Coordinator (Sydney campus), Unit Coordinator of the academic writing units, and Acting STEPS Head of Course (November - February 2019).
Prior to joining CQUniversity, I worked at INSEARCH:UTS for 10 years where I taught academic literacy units, coordinated the Foundation Studies Program and managed the Academic Literacy program.
I have an undergraduate degree in teaching (Argentina) and a Masters in Applied Linguistics - Language Program Management (Australia). My main research interests are in the areas of enabling education, adult learning, transformative learning, student resilience, student engagement, belonging, retention, language and culture, and linguistics.
