General
Background

I am passionate about natural health and have dedicated my life to helping people be their best. I do so through striving for optimal health and wellbeing, empowering people with inspiration and excellence in health care working with individuals, families and industry leaders achieve natural health solutions through chiropractic care, exercise rehabilitation and nutritional guidance. With a background of several years of massage therapy in the private and corporate sector led to a culmination of skills becoming a Chiropractor and health coach.

I was Director and principal practitioner at Quay Health, an integrative healthcare team of health professionals , who all work together with a patient centred approach. I lead our team of chiropractors, massage therapists, podiatrists, acupuncturists in Circular Quay cater for the corporate sector

After graduating, I practiced in North Sydney at Impulse Health looking after the corporate sector . I then founded Chiropractic Health Centre, Mittagong in 2003 where I managed a team of health specialists. We won the Excellence in Health award in 2005 and 2006 in the Southern Highlands Business Awards, along with being nominated as Finalists in 2013.

I completed my Diploma Of Education 1989 and an Advanced Certificate in Adult Education in 1994. I taught secondary school for 5 years as well as teaching in UK. Additionally I enjoyed teaching Anatomy and Physiology at Moss Vale TAFE certificate IV in Massage and Sports Massage at Peridor Health Schools.

I have been involved with teaching of the SOT chiropractic technique course series in Sydney for many years; here I expanded my skills and perfecting one of my technique while giving back to the profession.

In 2013, I commenced teaching Chiropractic Skills with University of Central Queensland in Sydney, which allows me to be my best and inspire the next generation of practitioners to likewise aspire to excellence. I have also been involved in health promotion through Healthy Spines and Straighten Up Australia programs; I participated in coordination with local schools as well as community speaking engagements to local organisations and radio.

I took a teaching scholar academic role in 2016 moving from Sydney to Mackay Ooralea Campus in the SHMAS as a Chiropractic lecturer

I also work as a chiropractic practitioner on a part time basis at MyChiropractor looking after the needs of the Mackay community.

I have a wonderful family Colleen my wife and three energetic boys: Sebastian, Tobi and Spencer as well as Scarlett, our furry child/ dog. I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, sailing, golf, surf lifesaving and keeping up with the boys.

Responsibilities

Teaching clinical and psychomotor skills to Chiropractic students in the undergraduate level at CQUniversity across all campuses.

Teaching Mental Health for Chiropractors

Unit Co-ordination and curriculum development for units that I convene

Indigenising the Curriculum for the Chiropractic program across all years

Completed study at post graduate level in CG68 Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education in 2015

Interest in developing the advancement of chiropractic education in Australia

Interest on Mental Health and recently Mental Health First Aid Certification

Board director for Hands On India whose aim is Raising and distribution of funds to enhance the health and well-being of various communities in India. The funds may also be used for education purposes, schools and microeconomic loans."

Hands on India provides volunteer chiropractic health care services as well as additional funding and other resources to the people associated with our program partner Seva Kendra and its outreach programs, whilst expanding and enriching the clinical skills of participating chiropractors

Hands on India now provides financial support for 7 schools who educate 700 children in their local rock breaking or tea picking communities. We also support Women’s Empowerment Groups consisting of two thousand women.

Key Achievements

As a director of the team at Chiropractic Health Centre won the Excellence in Health award in 2005 and 2006 in the Southern Highlands Business Awards, along with being nominated as Finalists in 2013.

I have a happy healthy family that brings me much joy in life

Was previously the director and owner of a thriving healthy business at Quay Health where I worked along side a team of allied health professionals (podiatrists, massage therapists, physiotherapist, acupuncturist, psychologist and myotherapists) and students that inspire me and whom I respect greatly.
