About Me
After a 30-year career in Paramedicine and healthcare, I am now a Senior Learning Designer with the Learning Design & Innovation Directorate.
Having completed all of my university studies through Distance or Online modes, I have a keen interest in ensuring students studying via these modes have a commensurate experience to those of their face-to-face colleagues. I'm also passionate about the appropriate use of technology in learning and teaching. I pursue this passion by guiding academic and teaching staff and creating meaningful interactions within the online learning space.
I have over a decade of writing, reviewing and aligning curricula in Higher Education, particularly within the health sector.
While my career in frontline healthcare is now over, I continue to enjoy working within this space as the Senior Learning Designer for the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences and the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Sciences.
