About Me

I started my career as a radiographer in Fiji in 1998 and have worked in both metropolitan and rural (including remote) hospital settings. I was also involved in the supervision of the undergraduate medical imaging students on clinical placement at my workplace.  In 2001, I joined the Medical Imaging faculty at Fiji National University (formerly known as Fiji School of Medicine) and contributed towards the program upgrade and curriculum development.  In 2010, I joined Unitec Institute of Technology in New Zealand as a lecturer and in early 2013 I joined the Medical Imaging faculty at CQUniversity.

Background

Reshmi started her career as a radiographer in Fiji and has the experience of working at both metropolitan and rural (including remote) hospital settings. Whilst working as a radiographer, Reshmi was actively engaging with students on clinical placement at her workplace.  The interactions with the students encouraged her to decide to become an academic in the field.  Her ambitions to contribute to the medical imaging profession led her to work as an academic in Fiji till the beginning of 2010.  Reshmi joined Unitec Institute of Technology in New Zealand as a lecturer and worked there until the start of 2013, after which she has become a part of the Medical Imaging faculty at CQUniversity.
