About Me
I'm an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, neurological rehabilitation clinician, and movement educator with over 20 years of experience across allied health, exercise science, chronic disease management and strength and conditioning. My professional background has been shaped by a longstanding interest in human movement and a commitment to advancing evidence-based, person-centred practice. Since commencing my career in the fitness industry, I have progressively broadened my scope through extensive academic study and diverse clinical roles.
As an academic, I am committed to fostering an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. My teaching philosophy emphasises the translation of research into practice, the development of critical thinking and clinical reasoning and the nurturing of confident, ethical and reflective practitioners. I am particularly interested in preparing students to deliver evidence-informed care in neurological rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and lifestyle medicine.
Through both my clinical career and academic involvement, I remain dedicated to advancing Clinical Exercise Physiology practice, supporting student development, and contributing to high-quality, person-centred care within the broader health system.
General
Background
I hold a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences and a Graduate Diploma of Exercise Science, and I have completed postgraduate studies in Neurological Rehabilitation. I am currently undertaking a Master of Lifestyle Medicine, reflecting my continued dedication to prevention-focused healthcare, behaviour change, and interdisciplinary models of practice. My clinical expertise includes neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and chronic disease management, clinical Pilates, and applied movement re-education across a broad range of populations.
In addition to my clinical work as Principle Exercise Physiologist at Enhance Movement, I have contributed to the development of allied health education at CQUniversity since 2017 through my ongoing role on the Allied Health Course Reference Committee. This experience has deepened my interest in curriculum development, clinical education, and the integration of contemporary research into professional training.
