Bree is an Associate Lecturer in the Bachelor of Nursing program at CQUniversity. Her clinical experience includes Intensive Care, Emergency, Rural, Remote and Isolated Practice settings, Primary Health Care and Aeromedical Retrieval.
I began Nursing in 2017 in Intensive Care in Rockhampton. I completed a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care then transitioned my skill set to emergency nursing. Having gained valuable knowledge in the emergency department I moved to Bamaga in Cape York and explored rural and remote nursing where I enjoyed the challenge of no two days ever being the same. During this time I completed and Rural and Isolated Practice Medicine Endorsement and moved further north to work in the Torres Strait Islands in a Primary Health Care Centre. I enjoyed this role delivering quality person centred health care in a geographically isolated environment. I then completed my Master of Advanced Nursing Practice and worked as a Flight Nurse with the Royal Flying Doctor for two years which linked my passions for rural and remote nursing, emergency nursing and providing equitable access to health care.
