Jarrod has completed a Bachelor of Podiatry (QUT, 2019) and Graduate Certification in Exercise Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries (ACU, 2021). Since graduating, Jarrod has gained professional experience across various private practice roles with his most recent clinical experience on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, before relocating to Rockhampton to pursue a career in academia and research.
Jarrod's special interest surrounds the value in quantifying strength and functional movements in improving the accuracy and effectiveness of injury prevention and rehabilitation interventions. This interest has created opportunities to conduct workshops at the Sports and Exercise Podiatry Australia Conference (2024), present at The Lower Limb Conference (2024) and various webinars.
Jarrod has worked in a variety of semi-professional sports, including consulting with teams across NBL1 and Queensland Premier Cricket. With particular interest in fast bowler biomechanics and development in adolescent representative athletes. Jarrod continues to look for opportunities to collaborate with community sporting organisations in an ongoing dedication to bridging the gap of technology between high-performance sport and the general population.
In 2025, Jarrod will begin actively teaching across different areas of Podiatry within the CQUniversity Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours) program, with a focus on sports medicine and biomechanics.
