I am the Associate Director (Operations) for the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Center at CQU. This role speaks to my passion for the ocean, environmental conscience and desire for a purposeful, meaningful career. I am an avid scuba diver, a dog person and someone who embraces time at the beach.
I am an experienced operational leader, team member and military veteran. I joined the Australian Defence Force following an early career in hospitality. Following full-time service, I transferred to the active Army Reserve and employment undertaking a civilian project lead role. Active Army Reserve service kept me engaged in service until recent transfer to an inactive status. Since concluding full-time military service, I have worked in project management, leadership and business improvement roles in defence technology, rail and mining. I live and work in the Gladstone region, maintaining a connection to the local defence community through volunteer appointment to the Board of Directors of The Oasis Townsville. The Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Center offers a fulfilling and purpose driven opportunity to continue service to the community.
